&♡*My Favorite beauty Products!*♡&

Hello beautifuls! I am back!! A day late, but back none the less! So I think Sundays will be my days of posting since they are easier for me to have time to take photos and edit! =) Now, enough of me commenting on that.. Let's get to the post!! =)

So a huge request has been a favorite makeup products post so here it is!!! I'll break down with a few products in different categories. Face, lips, and eyes.

Face products

Foundation: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless ultra definition Liquid makeup in Shade 2.0

So I posted that I switched my face makeup awhile ago due to powder was not working well for my type of skin with having oily/combination skin so I switched to a liquid foundation and this one is wonderful. I love how it doesn't take much product to do full makeup as well as my skin has cleared up some from this, I believe. I have been eating better and working out as well so I am not sure if it was actually the makeup but I feel like my skin feels better lately after switching the foundation. I love that it stays even through working out and it just feels good. All around great product.

Concealer: Benefit Stay Don't Stray, Primer for Concealers and eye shadows in Light/Medium
So I have talked about this product so many times. lol As you can see here, I have used so many bottles of this! I love how it works as a full concealer for me as well as keeps my eye shadows on all day! I use this everyday I do makeup as well as it works to keep my dark circles at bay. lol I have been so busy and working so much that I haven't gotten the sleep I need so this is a lifesaver! I love the consistency as well as coverage! Great product!

Blush: Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH powered blush in Natural and NYX blush in Peach
So lately, I've been using the Physicians Formula blush everyday. I love the packaging, color, and mirror. It's amazing and goes on so smoothly. It builds easily and can be subtle to bold. Be aware that you should use a light hand with this product!! NYX blushes are great but definitely should be bought in store. The colors are deceiving online but definitely check them out! They are cost efficient, great color, and decent amount of product! I love them and have several colors but Peach seems like the perfect tone for me!

Lip products

Lip balms: Blistex Deep Renewal Anti-Aging Treatment and Lip Smacker DR. Pepper lip balm
I have used so many of the Deep Renewal lip balms. They taste great, go on smoothly, moisturize so well, and have no color so great for everyday! I don't usually go through products all the way through but this is one I constantly repurchase! The Lip Smacker chapstick has a red tint to it and I just love DR Pepper in general so I love this product! Definitely check them out if you are looking for a lip balm!!

Lipstick: NYX lipstick in Eros and Pink Lyric
I love these lipsticks. Hands down my favorite because they pack a huge color punch! It takes just a couple swipes and BAM! You have color! They are moisturizing and beautiful colors which are also helpful when they are only a couple dollars each! I love how even for the price, they beat out a lot of higher brand names! Check them out at your local Ulta if you get the chance!

Lip gloss: NYX butter gloss in Merengue and Cherry Pie
Alright, NYX wins in the lip department hands down. I love these glosses as well! They have great color and go well over any lipsticks. They don't bleed and are creamy. They also match with colors to the packaging which is fantastic in shopping for new colors! This is so great because I can easily pick a color to match a lipstick if I want to layer! I like that these are not sticky as well. Butter gloss is a great name for them!

Eye products

Eye shadow: Sugarpill Cosmetics pressed eye shadow in Tako and BFTE eye shadow in Atomic Teal and Mermaid

Sugarpill Cosmetics was a company I was introduced to when I won a giveaway! This color was my prize! Tako was so well talked about that I decided I needed a matte white in my life! I usually HATE pressed eye shadows but this is amazing! I mean worth the money!! I wear Tako everyday. Literally everyday I wear makeup, this is my highlight color! I am already starting to make a dent in the product! lol Love it!! It is a true white matte color. Beautiful! Now everyone knows I love BFTE but these two colors have stood out too me right now. Mermaid is a duochrome color that changes from a vibrant yellow to a green color. It's beautiful to be paired with a green color which is what Atomic Teal is. It's a blackened teal with shimmer and I wear this a lot to work for a smokey eye look. Love it! I usually used Bondage as my smoke out color but this is a great color to go with my green eyes!

Shimmer: NYX roll on shimmer in Pink and Nude
Now while these are great colors, the stay power isn't that great so a good primer is definitely needed but if you want sparkle, this is the best route to go! They are vibrant and packed with all kinds of shimmer. They are wonderful if you want to add a little variety in your looks! They are not bad on price either!

Mascara: Urban Decay supercurl curling mascara and Benefit They're Real mascara
I have decently long lashes but they don't stand up very well so I need mascaras that will hold all day and give me a bold look so They're Real is my usual go too as I've posted before but I got the Urban Decay mascara in an Ipsy Bag that I thought I'd try out and it works wonderful, especially for my lower lashes. I love using them both together to add a punch to my makeup looks. They both have decent brushes that grab hairs easily and help with lift, length, and definition.

Eyeliner: Chella eyeliner pen in Indigo Blue and indelible gel eyeliner in Magnetism
So Chella eyeliner pen I got in another Ipsy Bag and I love the bold blue color. In a look I did today which I'll post below, I layered both of these together to get a slightly blue toned liner. It is beautiful!! I have mainly been using the gel liner though everyday, especially for work. It's a great color that has a bit of shimmer to it but it's hard to see in the pictures. I ordered this through BFTE although I do not see it on the website anymore. Even so, you can find this sold through a lot of companies. If you're looking for a great gel liner, try this one out!

My look for today includes a lot of the products listed!

Face products: Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in Shade 2.0 and Benefit Stay Don't Stray concealer in Light/Medium. Blush is Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker blush in Natural (applied lightly)

Lips are another favorite product of mine.
Benefit Lollitint Candy Orchid lip and cheek stain! A subtle natural pinky/purple tone. It works great and I love it!

Eyes: In inner corner is Lemon from BFTE cosmetics. Then Tako from Sugarpill, the outer corner is a combination of Blue Pacific and the cut crease color is Atomic teal to darken the look!
The liner is Magnetism gel liner and Chella eyeliner pen in Indigo Blue.

I hope you have loved my favorites list! I wanted to show a lot of my go to products because certain things I constantly repurchase and keep with me at all times! This definitely is the most requested post so I wanted my return to be of your requests!

Thank you again to all of my readers for sticking with me! I love you all and appreciate all of the support!! Now that it's 2 AM, I'm going to finally get that beauty sleep that I need lol I will be working on posting going forward on Sundays! Next will be about the nail stickers I tried out in the last picture! Stay tuned! =) Until next time, stay smiling beautifuls!

&*(Foundation && Concealer)*&

Hello beautifuls! If you have kept up with my facebook page, you'd see I posted a sneak peek pic of what this post is about! =) Kudos if you could name the brand I'm trying out now! This is a review post of what I'm using for concealer and foundation.

I went to Ulta the other day looking for a new foundation because I'm finding that my BareMinerals foundation is feeling a bit heavy for the coverage I needed. It is a fantastic foundation but for my skin type and coverage I wanted, I decided it was time to venture out of my comfort zone to try something new.

Now, if you are like me, you might have issues with finding the right shade of foundation so I urge you to have someone help you at a makeup counter or makeup store like Ulta. I walked in and this wonderful woman came up to me, saw my completely lost look, and took pity on me with helping me find the perfect shade. I just happen to be standing by the Urban Decay display and the lady had suggested this foundation too me.

To be honest, I wasn't completely impressed with a lot of the eye shadows I've tried from this company so I was worried a bit about trying the foundation but after playing with the testers and her helping me find the right shade, I ended up picking up my shade and tried it immediately the next day! haha

I kept pointing out I wanted something that was didn't feel heavy on my skin and something that would hold up to my oily skin. Here was the perfect answer!

So here are my products!

Concealer: Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer in Light/Medium
Foundation: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation in Shade 2.0

Concealer review: I have posted about this product so many times. It is a holy grail product in my makeup bag. I've been loyal to this product for several years now and have no intention of changing any time soon. This is a primer for concealers and eye shadows but it is so pigmented that it works as a full coverage concealer. I wish the company hadn't switched to the new applicator instead of the pump that it used to be. I feel like there was more product available with the pump concealer instead of this type. You lose the ability to get all of the product off the sides of the tube, BUT it's still a great product that I use to cover acne marks, under eye area, and as a primer for eye shadow.

Here is a quick pic of the applicator in case you were wondering. Some stores still offer the old packaging which I've continued to keep an eye out for! =)

Now to foundation!

As I mentioned, I am a shade 2.0. I love the varied shades this foundation line offers. While it is more expensive than my Bare Minerals, I have found it to be so much better on my skin and worth it for the properties it has. I love that it is paraben free and doesn't have a lot of the fillers a lot of other makeup has. It is a liquid formula which is what I wanted to make foundation process faster but I wanted it to have a liquid to powder formula because liquid tends to not be a good choice for my oily skin.

I LOVE this product! First day wearing it, I had compliments that my skin looked healthy and fresh. I was shocked that it was so noticeable to change my skin appearance from what I used before.

Now, let's be real for a minute here. I have acne prone skin. It isn't perfect by any means!! I have edited some of my pictures I've posted of makeup looks because I didn't want to take away from my eye shadow tutorials.

I have told you all over and over again that I'm just a normal woman with skin issues, flaws, and just imperfections that I've learned to accept over the years. So to prove that this makeup is not perfect and either am I, here is an unedited pic of me wearing this foundation/concealer combination. (I only added a frame around the picture..

Makeup is not perfect and either am I. This combination just covers a lot better for me and I love that it makes me feel more put together. I do use blotting sheets because of my oily skin but love that the foundation stays put.

I figured I'd do a review on these because I just started using this new product as well as want to make sure that I never give the illusion that I'm perfect or have no skin problems. I'm very much not perfect! =)

My blog is not just meant for beauty but to continue the belief I have that each of us are unique and beautiful, no matter what imperfections we might have. I truly believe that imperfections are what makes us beautiful because we are all not the same and reminded we are human. It's okay to be exactly who you are! There was a time I used to hide who I was behind trying to fit in, makeup as a mask, and hid behind what others thought I should be like. I was a follower, someone who blended in because I was afraid to stand out. I liked what others liked, followed trends of friends, even changed hobbies for others.. but let me tell you now, that was the loneliest I ever felt.

I have found that true happiness comes from being true to ourselves. I have been told it's stupid to have a beauty blog, that it's a silly thing to want to reach out to others about makeup, but I truly believe my blog can help me reach those who need just a friend who understands. I make sure I prove every time I post that there is no perfection in any one and that if you truly want to see beauty and perfection, it starts in a person's heart, not outer appearance.

I've learned from many hurtful experiences, being told when I was younger that I wasn't skinny enough, pretty enough, my hair was the wrong color, that I needed to dress better, etc. that those people who judge on such superficial things are the ones that have ugliness in their lives. I am beautiful.

Each of you are beautiful. Never let others tell you who you should be!! I stopped hiding in the shadows and embraced the things I love and what makes me who I am!

So I want to know.. What makes you who you are? What makes you beautiful? I want to know my audience! If you've read this far, please.. Share your life with me. I want you each to know I appreciate your views on my blog and you sticking with me through this journey!

Until next time beautifuls, stay smiling and NEVER let the world take away your shine!

Simply a girl,

&*(Walgreens Haul && Swatches)*&

Hello lovelies! I have returned a day late, but returned none the less! haha I am still getting into the swing of things with blogging again and working on the facebook fan page so thank you all for support and sticking with me! I appreciate each of you who take the time to look at my blog or keep up with me on facebook! Now it's time to get to the good stuff! =)

So I do not have a large haul but I wanted to do swatches of some products I'd heard great reviews on and if you are a nail art lover such as myself, I found some great finds at Walgreens that I had to share! So let's get to it!

First off, I have been wanting to try Wet n Wild products for awhile now after so many reviews I've seen through YouTube and the blogger world. There was a hit and a miss in what I picked up. Let's start with miss.

So I used to use my BFTE cosmetics eye shadows wet as eyeliner and with the company being shut down for an undetermined amount of time, I figured it was time to venture out into actual color eyeliner pencils. Well, unfortunately I do not see me using these in the future.

While the colors might swatch well and have an okay color payoff, I could tell instantly these would not be long wearing, especially for waterline. It claims to 1: Be rich in color. This is true. The colors are beautiful. I give them kudos for that. 2, they claim they apply smoothly. I agree, they were smooth to apply. 3, they are creamy to be able to be used in different ways. While they are creamy, they 4th claim fails completely. They are not long lasting. At all.

The top smudge line is with the slightest pressure which still shows that it smeared even with the slightest touch. The middle smudge line was with medium pressure, swiped once. These are fun colors but I do not feel they would last very long actually on the eyes. For me, I have dry eyes which makes me have to use eye drops throughout the day. This no doubt would fade any liner off my water line. So for me personally, I call this a miss.

Next up are a hit! The Wet n Wild coloricon palettes! I picked up the famed The Naked Truth palette and for fun and a future project, the Spoiled Brat palette.

So let's start with what is a personal hit for me, the Spoiled Brat palette.

(Left is a dry swatch, right is wet)

These palettes are so buildable which is by far the best quality about them! Not only are they buildable, but the colors are so soft and pigmented. I own a lot of different eye shadows from different companies, but I do not own anything close to this silver. It has a high powered shine to it and is like melted silver. If you are a fan of silver eye shadows, pick this palette up! It's worth it! The black color is VERY sparkly which in my case, I love. It blends well and can be built easily to a seriously strong black. The pink shade is pretty and able to start out as a soft pink or buildable to give a powerful punch of color!

Next is The Naked Truth palette.

I wish these palettes had names for the colors so I could better describe them. I'll start with the lightest color. As you can tell, it's my skin tone which is why Spoiled Brat palette is better in my opinion. For me personally, the colors of this palette just do not work as well for my light complexion. The second lightest shade still doesn't show much and honestly the flash I think is the only reason you see it on my skin. Without the bright lighting, it's hard to see on me as well. The last colors though are beautiful and I love for a smoky eye. The darkest color is such a great smoke out color and could be paired with so many color combinations. It looks shiny but this color is actually matte. Lighting issues caused it to look slightly different. The next color is a frosty finish but a beautiful color for an everyday neutral look. The last color is a copper color that has glitter in it but it is still a very wearable color for any day. All of these colors are creamy and easy to apply, just some didn't show on my lighter skin.

The last items I picked up were found at the end of an isle and I picked up every style of them that I found in my store! They are nail art decals. I was shocked to find these gem wheels for $2! What a steal! Here are the styles I picked up! The first one I think is my favorite and I can't wait till after Valentine's Day to play with!

I will be playing with these more over the next few days and plan on using the Spoiled Brat palette this weekend so hopefully I'll have a new look tutorial for you all soon. I'm also working on doing my nails tomorrow for a new nail tutorial so stick with me! I really am returning to the blogging scene!

Long hours = New blog

Hello lovelies! So I am so excited I had to post right this second! haha

It is now close to 5 AM where I am currently living and I'm still up working on new changes for this blog. I really struggled with doing the blog while in college but now that that goal is accomplished, it's time to focus on other passions, such as my blog again!

If you followed the blog before, you might have noticed the name of the blog has changed. It was BeautysMagic but after finding that someone else has been using this name for a beauty blog, I respected that and decided it's time for a face lift of my blog, entirely!

After a long night of collaborating with my sister and best friend, Michelle, I have decided to change the name to.. *drum roll please*

SkinDeepUnique.

This new name represents each of us being unique and beautiful. When speaking with my sister who has a very different style than my own, I found it important to encourage followers to be true to who they are and to not judge those who might be very different than ourselves. I want this blog to be a diverse place for people to share ideas and creativity in this very diverse world. My goal for this blog is not just to share swatches and makeup reviews, but to encourage others to feel confident in their own skin and unique styles. Each of us are different but that's the beautiful thing! We are all unique and see beauty differently. This is my take on beauty.

I have this passion of reaching out to people and being someone they can look up too, not just in how to apply mascara or eyeshadow. I'm no one special. I go through the same things you do. I do not have perfect skin. I'm make mistakes and have flaws. I am not perfect by any means, but I am beautiful just as each of you are.

So my goal is to embrace all these parts of myself and to help others embrace who they are too!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope that you will enjoy the new changes coming soon! The design of the blog will be changing in the next week or two. My sister is designing a background and such for the blog! I'm so excited to have her on board with me to help design such a beautiful blog website!

So Michelle, thank you! I appreciate your support and help in this goal of mine! We will be doing a collaborative project in a couple months when I go to visit her in Ohio! Expect diverse looks for a diverse audience! :) I'm looking forward to sharing my love of color with all of you!

If you love what you have read, please subscribe or follow me on facebook!
https://www.facebook.com/skindeepunique

The facebook fan page is going to be a place where everyone is welcome to share looks, answer questions of the day, interact with me, and so much more. I want to create a place that everyone can have a voice, not just my own!

I look forward to you all joining me on this journey!

Until next time, stay smiling beautifuls!

Update && BFTE Cosmetics last Day to Purchase!!!

Hello my lovelies! I AM BACK! Finally, I know! My last courses in college kept me away a little longer but as of Wednesday, I am officially a college graduate! I now have my degree in business and all the hard work and having to put off my passions has paid off! This last semester was crazy stressful with trying to visit family and do college. I just didn't have enough time to really put into giving you all the best posts I could make so I waited till I graduated to return.

I will be working on new posts and possibly re-amping my blog over the next few days so thank you all for sticking with me through this last year and the lack of posting! I really do appreciate those who have viewed this blog! It really is a passion of mine but I wanted to pursue a higher education as well.

Who knows what the future holds for me but I think that's the exciting part about life! I'm finding what I'd like to do in the future and love having my creative outlet here with all of you but also love having this business degree to see what doors it can open for me! I have a real eye for business so this is exciting to me to see what happens next!

Anyways, enough about me! Back to the huge point to this post!

As you all may know, I'm a huge fan of BFTE cosmetics. Huge as in own probably 300+ colors now. I was blown away by the quality of this company and the company's owner. Crystal was a huge inspiration to me to start sharing my looks to lead to the confidence of throwing myself out there in the blogging world. I was so amazed by the amount of talent posted on the fan page on facebook that I started gaining confidence in my own abilities, not to mention have found my own style through this adventure!

Crystal has decided to close the doors for an undetermined amount of time to take a break and find what she would like to do next. As we all go through phases in our lives to find what we want to accomplish in our lives, I respect her loyalty to herself as well as fans in this time she is taking to figure out what is next.

Just as I am doing with finding what is a best fit in my life, she is as well! I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors and do hope that BFTE cosmetics reopens again! The BFTE cosmetics fanpage on facebook has been my go to for inspiration, encouragement, and friendship.

If you are wanting to purchase today, please visit:

www.bftecosmetics.com

or to get inspired like I was by Crystal and the talent on the fanpage:
Please search BFTE Cosmetics on facebook!

They are doing giveaways today as well! Check them out!!

So to end this post, thank you to this wonderful company for opening my eyes to this world of beauty and teaching me to be true to myself and what I want to accomplish in my life, no matter what the size of the goal is!

Keep dreaming lovelies! Aim for the stars! Study, learn from others, ask questions, be creative, and most importantly, ALWAYS be true to who you are.

My apologies to my Blog Community!

Hello lovelies! So I officially feel like I need to apologize to you all who have followed my blog and waited patiently for a new post. I posted a year ago that I would be relaunching my blog but unfortunately a lot of things happened at once to where I was unable to continue the blog for the last year. As some of you might know, I've been working on my business degree which I will finally have my degree at the end of January!! (Yay!) Unfortunately when I was working on relaunching my blog, I started core classes for my degree that took a lot of my time as well as have been travelling every few months, and have had other priorities that kept me from having the time to dedicate to photo editing.

I have prided myself on the fact that I have made sure I post pictures that are as true to color as possible and have put a lot more time into editing than the actual creating of the looks and picture taking. Unfortunately I'm not the quickest at editing so it took a long time with being a perfectionist as well to get my blog posts up. When I started my blog, it was something to use my creative side as well as something to fill up free time I had. I wish I still had that kind of free time again but my core classes, family priorities, and such had to come first.

I should have posted sooner and I apologize to you all if you'd been waiting for me to come back to the blogging world! After I get through my time consuming classes, I will be returning! I know I said this before but this really is my passion and I will make it more of a priority once I do not have so many papers and such to do for college! I appreciate my followers still being here when I logged back in! <3

I'm humbled to see new views and followers even after a year of being away! =) While I have some free time this week in the hotel I'm staying at for my brother's wedding, I'll work on some new picture tutorials and such! =)

I promise I will be trying to focus on getting some new posts up! I will probably do a favorites post soon since all my favorites are with me on my trip!! =) Thank you again for supporting me and sticking with me through my year of absence. I appreciate you all being with me during this journey! =) I do take being a beauty blogger seriously even if it might not seem like it with being away for a year!

I promise I'm still here!

Figured I'd add a new pic from my birthday last week! =) Talk with you all soon! Feel free to contact me through comments if you'd like to see anything specific! I love doing requests! I am hoping next Halloween time, I'll be doing Halloween themed makeup! =) Yay! So many ideas, so little time! haha

Until next time, stay smiling lovelies! I've missed you!

<3,

&*(Green with Envy Tutorial)*&

Hello beautifuls! I'm back again tonight with a tutorial that I decided to do last minute after lots of compliments on the makeup I was wearing. Now, I apologize in advance that I didn't take pictures of each step. I plan to do that with future tutorials but because this one seemed to get such a great response, I decided to attempt to throw together a tutorial with what I had && to give a few tips along the way. =) So here is a picture of the finished look that I will be walking you through! Ignore the silly face! haha =P It definitely isn't my best picture but none the less, it does the makeup justice! =)

Green with Envy
*You can click the images to make them larger*

One of my favorite things to do is to play up my green eyes. I love wearing green on my green eyes because it has helped bring out the color of my eyes, plus.. What can I say? My favorite color is green! =) Also, I was feeling a little flirty the day I did this makeup so all the eye colors have sassy names! ;)

Let's get started!

So after I decided a couple days later to do a tutorial for this, I decided to pull out all the makeup I used and take a few snap shots so you know what products I am talking about during each step!

So let's start with the eyes since they are the focal point of this look!

Here is the list of the products in no order that were used on my eyes.

1.) Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof mascara in black.
2.) Sephora blending brush from their holiday collection last year.
3.) NYX Slide on, Glide on, Stay on, & Definitely a Turn on Water Proof, Extreme Shine Eye Liner in Pure White
4.) As a highlight color, Butt Naked from BFTE cosmetics.
5.) As the main bold green, Lavish by BFTE cosmetics.
6.) As the blending between the bold and dark color, Sinful by BFTE cosmetics.
7.) As the start of the dark crease, Dangerous by BFTE cosmetics.
8.) As the dark color in the outer V of the eye, Bondage by BFTE cosmetics.
9.) Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black.
10.) Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer (mini version from collection at Ulta)

Now to start the look!

Step 1: Apply a primer. In my case, I used Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer because it matches my skin tone perfectly and because it really does help hold the eyeshadows. A primer is really helpful with mineral makeup as well.

Step 2: Now here is a trick I love! I applied the NYX eyeliner in Pure White to the inner corners of my eyes and along half of the bottom lashline. This helps to bring light to your eyes in a really dark look. I love doing this trick even when I'm doing neutral looks. I warmed up some of the liner on my hand and applied it to the inner corners with just my finger for this. I like to warm up products like this or even the primer to make a smoother application.

Step 3: Using the Sephora blending brush, I started to apply my colors. I started with my lightest to darkest colors. It tends to be easier to start light to dark because it is a lot harder to remove dark makeup if you mess up starting with dark colors first. I applied Butt Naked under my eyebrows, and applied a little over the NYX Pure White eye liner. The eyeliner works as a base as well to hold the highlight better.

Step 4: Next I applied Lavish, the bright bold green to 3/4 of the eye lid. I love bold bright colors put on this part of the eye because it helps to bring light to the eye as well. I always choose bright shimmery colors for that reason. Bright yellow and greens are my favorite to wear this way.

Step 5: Next I started with Dangerous to start creating the crease. I applied this color to the outer V as well as crease. It's such a beautiful color because it's a deep teal color which compliments the bright green really well.

Step 6: I applied Sinful to help blend where Lavish and Dangerous meet. It helped to soften and blend out the line to be flawless. I truly believe the best tool to have with eye makeup is a blending brush. It helps to soften the looks dramatically, especially since most of my looks have a lot of colors involved. I also cleaned off the blending brush by swiping it across a paper towel to remove any makeup from it and blended the harsh line that Dangerous created. It is definitely a dark color and a little goes a long way with this makeup!

Step 7: Next I took my favorite outer V color, Bondage, and applied it to just the outer V. Don't be fooled by the camera's take of this color. It really is a dark almost charcoal color that works AMAZING for darkening a look. This color you could use with pretty much any look to darken it up! I then did the same routine of wiping the brush clean and blending the edges of the eye makeup to blur that line so it wasn't a harsh line.

Step 8: Next I applied a VERY thin line with the Maybelline Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner along the top lashline. Liquid liner takes some practice and my first few times working with it were not pretty haha but it is worth the effort for a bold dark line. I start in the middle of the eye and slowly work my way out and then work from the inner eye out. I like this liner because it's waterproof and you can really make a thin line or a bold line quickly with the applicator. I would recommend light hands for this.

Step 9: Finish off the eyes with Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous mascara! I also love this formula because it is waterproof and I love the applicator of this mascara!

Now the face!

The products for the face in no particular order are:

1.) Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette
2.) Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor in Pink & Proper.
3.) ELF cosmetics Complexion Brush
4.) Sephora Professional mineral powder brush
5.) Jonny Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation in Porcelain.

Step 1: I applied Jonny Cosmetics foundation in Porcelain using the Sephora mineral powder brush. Now, I have not talked about this company before because I just met Jonny on Thursday who gave me a sample to try and I have to say I fell in love with this foundation! The formula is fantastic and it feels light and soft when you put it on. It is a mousse consistency but once applied, turns to a soft satin finish. It's fantastic! I will definitely be mentioning this company later in my favorites post coming soon!

Step 2: I then blended the first two colors of the Coastal Scents 10 blush Palette and applied a very light application of this color. I didn't want to over power my face with too much color so I just applied enough to add more warmth to my cheeks.

Step 3: I applied Maybelline ColorSensational lipcolor in Pink & Proper on my lips. I love that this has a creamy formula and doesn't get cakey like a lot of lip colors do overtime. I also didn't apply this lipcolor as richly as I would usually because I just wanted something to add a little color but not be again over powering the boldness of the eye makeup.

I try to stick with one bold aspect of my makeup. Either bold lips or bold eyes. In this case, it was bold green smokey eyes.

I apologize this didn't have as many pictures and I promise the next one will be picture and not as much word described! =)

I hope you enjoyed this look. I'll be doing a look tutorial with the BFTE Coffee Shop Collection soon as well as a tutorial on one my FAVORITE looks which is very pinup look with neutral eyes and bright red lips!

Until then, stay smiling beautifuls!

XoXo,
LB

&*(What is Coming Soon...)*&

Hello beautifuls! I apologize the relaunch is going a little slower than I'd like. I hosted Thanksgiving at my house this year and then drove back with my parents to SC to spend some quality time with them. Because of this, I was extremely busy and traveling which made posting difficult.

Anyways, now that my excuses are posted haha I am going to be working on a new design for the blog tonight so if you sign in and it looks crazy with colors and backgrounds, haha it's probably me online changing EVERYTHING down to the line colors! :P I am currently finding the best lighting set up for photos so I apologize new posts will be delayed till I have my camera station set up. I promise now that I am not in the car, I'm working hard to get new material out there for you.

In the mean time, I figured a what's coming soon post couldn't hurt!

Here is the list of requests and posts I already have planned doing in the near future!
*Thank you to my friend and follower, Shannon for giving me some great feedback and requests! My readers are my inspiration! <3*

  • Ulta haul including some of my favorite brands
  • Requested: A "My favorites" post that includes my favorite go to products
  • A new nail art tutorial featuring a nail polish I got from my Ipsy (MyGlam) bag this month
  • A review on the Ipsy November beauty bag
  • A review on the Julep Maven November box
  • Another BFTE haul and swatches
  • Another ELF cosmetics haul with a review on the items I bought
  • A holiday look collection with a picture breakdown of colors used in each look
As you can see, I have a lot of things coming up for you lovelys! My suitcase when packing to visit family was half of makeup and things to do reviews on! haha I am determined to get this blog going and to keep up with it. Thank you all for your support and continued views on this blog. It felt fantastic today to get such great feedback and that is worth making the commitment to this blog! <3

Until next time, stay smiling!

PS - Leave me some comments below of color combinations you'd love to see in the holiday look collection as well as any other requests or feedback of what you would like to see from this blog! I love suggestions and customizing my blog for my readers!! <3

&*(Wow.. One year has Passed)*&

Hello lovelys. I apologize I pretty much fell off the face of the earth for... a year. lol Worst blogger award goes to.... LB! haha I apologize that I didn't keep up with this blog but I was humbled by the almost 10,000 views I had when I logged back in after so long of not posting! I appreciate the followers who didn't delete me a year ago haha and held hope for a new post! :) They say that sometimes life just gets the best of you and that is what has happened too me. It's no excuse and completely my fault but I'm going to try to bring this blog back to life.

After all of the views even though I was away, it inspired me to start blogging again because it really was something I enjoyed doing. My husband was deployed for a year and during that time, I started college to work on a business degree which has ended up starting to take up more of my time than I expected. With all of the unexpected bumps in the road so to speak, I've been so busy and literally life took me over and I lost a lot of the things I loved doing in the process.

So as we are starting to get closer to the New Year and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I want to say I'm thankful for each of my readers as well as plan on making this New Year something special for this blog!

I plan to do quite a few looks over the next week or so to celebrate bringing this blog back to life! I'm heading to Ulta later today so will probably do a haul post as well coming up soon! Hang tight everyone. I am back and looking forward to chatting with you all. <3

To any readers out there, leave me a post of things you look for in a blogger? Do you like entries that are left with questions to answer? Lots of pictures? A place to leave requests? Giveaways/contests? I plan to relaunch this blog with a bang and want your input! :) Leave me a comment below!

I'd love to hear from you all! Take care everyone!

Until then, stay smiling beautifuls!
